Destination Attributes and Tourists’ Satisfaction: A study of Historical Monuments in Delhi
Abstract
Tourism industry is growing at a fast pace. People want to travel to distant places and it becomes possible due to high demand in air transport. High technology era has changed the tourism industry as with the help of other medium of information exchange like social media and search engine on Internet brought dramatic change in society. Before selecting a destination, tourists search for destination attributes for recreation and rejuvenation. However, tourists look for particular features in a destination before making a decision to visit an attractions or a destination. Therefore, this study aims to examine the dimensions of destination attributes for selection of a destination and the influence of destination attributes on tourists’ satisfaction. Exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis were used to find out the destination’s dimensions and influence of these dimensions on tourists satisfaction respectively. The study reveals four important factors, viz. Tourist attraction and facilities, destination management, ease of access, and culture.
